Willard Public Schools Announces New Assistant Superintendent of Academics 

Willard, MO - Willard Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Josh Ladd as the new Assistant Superintendent of Academics. Dr. Ladd is returning to Willard after serving as the High School Principal at Mount Vernon School District for the past seven years.

Dr. Ladd earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University and his Masters of Education from William Woods. He received both his Educational Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees from Lindenwood University. He is a highly experienced and accomplished educator, with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. 

During his tenure at Mount Vernon, he oversaw the implementation of several innovative educational programs, including the JAG and Alternative Education Programs. In his first stint at Willard, he played an integral role in the development and implementation of the SUCCESS Program. 

“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Willard and rejoin this amazing group of educators,” said Dr. Ladd. “I look forward to working together with our staff, students, and families to continue cultivating a culture of academic excellence and lifelong learning.”

As Assistant Superintendent of Academics, Dr. Ladd will be responsible for overseeing all academic programs in the Willard School District, including curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment programs. He will work closely with school principals, teachers, and staff to ensure that all students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life.
