WMS 2018-2019 YEARBOOK RECEIVES A NATIONAL DISTINGUISHED MERIT AWARD!
Not only was WMS featured in Lifetouch's Creative Inspirations book for the 4th time (a book is a collection of yearbook ideas showcasing award-winning designs produced by Lifetouch schools around the world), BUT we have some other super exciting news to share!
WILLARD MIDDLE SCHOOL RECEIVES A DISTINGUISHED MERIT AWARD IN LIFETOUCH YEARBOOK CONTEST
[MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.] - The Willard Middle School yearbook staff received a distiguished merit award in the 2018 Lifetouch Yearbook Showcase Contest.
The publications were sorted into four divisions:High schools with more than 1,000 students enrolled, high schools with fewer than 1,000 students enrolled, middle schools and elementary schools.
Yearbooks were evaluated on the following criteria: Theme/theme development, design, continuity, photography, writing, creativity content and coverage.
"The books reflect hours of hard work by the staffs and advisers;' Laura Schaub, Lifetouch yearbook education specialist and contest coordinator, said. "These books are some of the best elementary and secondary books in the nation:'

At the Willard R-II School District, student safety is paramount. Reports of bullying are, and have always been, taken seriously and investigated. If you have knowledge of a bullying situation you are encouraged to promptly report such incident to a school employee, including specifically the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
