I wanted to give a quick update on the Sensory Garden!
-Our class created a garden in the courtyard outside our classroom. Students throughout the school came up with projects that would benefit the garden and they helped create some amazing things out there! If you have a donation, we are always looking for supplies to add fun new things!
-We are currently waiting to figure out a good drainage solution to the flooding problem out there. If anyone has some ideas--there is a ridiculous amount of water that floods in there and has put some plans on hold. Eventually one whole side of the garden will have rock.
-Our vegetables are thriving right now, I've attached a couple of pictures of what we picked this morning. We have also added a swing frame that we can change out different types of swings to meet the needs of my students. We are always looking for donations, so if you are willing to donate items, money towards the garden or your time it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any connections at varies stores (Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, etc) please let me know so I can contact them!
Also, if you'd like to stop by WMS to tour the garden, we would love to have you! Please email me to set up a time.
At the Willard R-II School District, student safety is paramount. Reports of bullying are, and have always been, taken seriously and investigated. If you have knowledge of a bullying situation you are encouraged to promptly report such incident to a school employee, including specifically the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
