Shoeboxes for Soldiers

The Willard FFA building communities committee started a project where they would pack care packages for soldiers overseas and in the United States. The FFA reached out to other schools to help collect items; so this became a collaborative effort between the Willard, Pleasant Hope, and Fair Grove school districts. The committee also reached out to local businesses to sponsor the shipping: DeLong Plumbing, Ozark Fence, Top Hat, Farmers Insurance, Glenn's Auto, Freedom Bank, Farm Bureau Insurance, Car X, Corbin Cambell, Ron Crighton, MO Sand Blasting, Main Street Feeds, Shelter Insurance, Bills Custom Woodworks, and Mid-Missouri Bank all helped make this possible. The goal was to send 100 care packages and the FFA chapter had a final count of 112 boxes packed and shipped for the soldiers. Thank you to everyone involved with this very rewarding project.
