Being a Willard Tiger is the best! On September 20th, we had our 2nd annual district-wide homecoming parade and it was another huge success! Every student was able to attend the parade and it served as a great way to unify all students in the district! Many students from around the district participated in the parade and our Willard High School (WHS) Student Government Association (SGA) collaborated with staff to organize the day. Thanks everyone and great job!
At the Friday night football game, our homecoming court was presented along with the crowning of the 2019 Homecoming Queen, Chloe Terry. Congratulations to Chloe, our homecoming court, and the many students who participated in the festivities throughout the week!
One of the many highlights from the high school this last month include our second year tennis team who continue to win and have an undefeated record of 10-0! Congratulations ladies on all of your hard work and accomplishments!
This year, Fall Break takes place on November 1st – 5th, and our Veteran’s Day assembly will be on November 8th at the high school. In Willard, we have a strong tradition of supporting our veterans and we continue to express our appreciation for those who serve.
A big thank you to our parents and community for all of your support! Each month, WHS has parents of students and community members who volunteer their time to work with programs for our students. It is with their help that our students are able to participate in the many wonderful events that occur each month. Thank you!

Willard Intermediate School- South
Students at Willard Intermediate-South are quickly finding ways to get involved at school. Our clubs kicked off this month and students are spending extra time after school to explore their interests, passion and talents. You can hear nearly 100 students singing on Thursdays at Tiger Tones or find a group of over 50 students running to Orchard Hills Elementary to join their running club on Wednesdays for a run. Other club opportunities include: Math Rocks, Drama Llamas, Pound Fit, Reading and Speech & Debate. Due to student interest, we've got even more clubs beginning in the next few weeks!
We've also been celebrating Heritage month. Students have been sharing about their heritage on morning announcements and through displays in the commons. We've also enjoyed listening to music during breakfast and lunch. It's been fun learning more about each other through these activities!
