WCE students took a short break from academics on the afternoon before Thanksgiving to share their school pride and showed their thankful hearts for our school with our Day of Service this afternoon. All students, staff and parent volunteers helped trim trees, paint walls, pull weeds, clear rock, power-wash the playground equipment, pick up trash and wash windows, walls, floors, tables, chairs and desks! A special thank you also to Mr. Brown, Coach Brown and Mr. Hernandez for working on finishing the office walls. It was an amazing day and blessed way to leave for the Thanksgiving Break! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a great day of service!
Our Caring Kids Student Leaders continued learning about service by taking the items they collected for their Fall Food Drive to the Willard Community Food Pantry. Thank you to the WC families for generously supporting this effort. Students celebrated this hard work with a staff pie in the face for the most items donated in a teacher's name. Mr. Gann, Mrs. Katrosh and Coach Brown were the honored winners with Mr. Gann receiving the grand-prize treatment!
As we return from break, families are invited to join us for Family Math Night on December 1, from 6:00-7:00. Students will be showing enVision Math 2.0 in action while engaging in problem solving, participating in math games, and teaching parents how to login and use the online resources.
