Willard Central named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School
What is Lighthouse Status?
Three years ago, Willard Central began the Leader in Me journey. Our goal is to provide students with leadership and life skills by empowering them to pursue their talents and set goals to achieve their dreams.
This year, our school applied to be a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. We provided an evidence binder that highlighted leadership among our students, parents, and staff. We were able to brag about all the great things happening in our building. Our binder and our school were reviewed by a team from Franklin-Covey, creator of the Leader in Me.
We are happy to announce that we have been named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. We are 1 of 388 Lighthouse Schools in the WORLD, and 1 of 33 in Missouri! This recognition is a milestone in our Leader in Me journey. It represents growth in our students and teachers, where we have come from, and where we are going in the future. Thank you for all of your support in our journey!
At the Willard R-II School District, student safety is paramount. Reports of bullying are, and have always been, taken seriously and investigated. If you have knowledge of a bullying situation you are encouraged to promptly report such incident to a school employee, including specifically the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
