Summer Discovery

For Students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade:
Our Summer Discovery program offers an integrated learning experience focusing on math, English, and science through engaging investigations and design challenges.

For Students in 9th through 12th Grade:
High school students will have the opportunity to take courses that help them earn the credits they need to graduate.

Enriching Experiences for All Students:
Each summer, students can look forward to exciting field trips and visits from guest speakers, all related to the content being taught, making learning both academically focused and fun!

Enrollment

  • To enroll a student in grades 9-12, call the High School Counseling Office at 417-742-3524
  • To enroll a student in grades K-8, fill out the enrollment form here. The form will open at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026!

Students will attend Summer Discovery for the grade they will be entering during the upcoming school year.

Please ensure that immunization records for incoming kindergarten students are submitted to the school by Thursday, May 21st to secure their enrollment.

Enrollment

Enrollment will open Sunday, March 1, 2026 and will close Friday, April 24, 2026. To enroll a student in grades 9-12, call the High School Counseling Office at 417-742-3524. To enroll a student in grades K-8, fill out the enrollment form here. The form will open at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026!

Times

  • MS & HS: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

  • K - 6: Monday - Friday 7:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

Locations

  • K - 6th Grade will be at Willard Orchard Hills Elementary + Willard North Elementary 

  • 7th & 8th Grade will be at Willard Middle School

  • 9th - 12th Grade will be at Willard High School

All Summer Discovery students K-12 will receive free lunch and breakfast every day.

Shuttle Bus for Middle and High School Students - Must complete the shuttle bus form in addition to registration form. They are two separate forms!

Middle School and High School students have the opportunity to ride a bus from Willard South Elementary or Willard Orchard Hills Elementary to the middle/high school and back. We hope this will make it easier for some students to be able to attend Summer Discovery. The shuttle schedule is as follows:

  • Departure from Willard Orchard Hills Elementary: 6:45 a.m.
  • Departure from Willard South Elementary: 7:00 a.m.
  • Arrival back to Willard South: 2:20 p.m.
  • Arrival back to Willard Orchard Hills Elementary: 2:30 p.m.

If you would like to sign your student up for this service, please complete this form. PLEASE FILL OUT THE FORM FOR EACH STUDENT YOU HAVE ENROLLED. On the shuttle bus form, please indicate if your child will only ride the shuttle to/from the middle school and/or high school in the mornings, only in the afternoon, or both.

Summer Discovery TigerTALES - Enrollment Info

To register your child for the 2026 TigerTALES Summer Discovery Program, please select the appropriate form below based on their upcoming school. The program operates from 6:30 a.m. until school starts, and from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Securing a spot requires a $35 enrollment fee per child, in addition to monthly tuition fees outlined in the sign-up form. Please note, submission of the form does not guarantee enrollment due to limited availability. You will receive a confirmation email from tigertales@willardschools.net with further instructions on completing your registration, including payment details for the enrollment fee and monthly tuition. Register for Summer Discovery TigerTALES through the appropriate Google Forms linked below, according to your student's Summer Discovery site. 

Summer Discovery TigerTALES registration will be open to our families beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026 and will close promptly at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 unless maximum enrollment has been met. If maximum enrollment is met, students will be put on a waiting list. 

Payment Information
To ensure your student's TigerTALES enrollment, the $35 enrollment fee will be invoiced on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 and is due Friday, April 10, 2026 by 11:00 a.m. The monthly fee will be due in full Tuesday, May 19, 2026 by 11:00 a.m. Failure to pay will result in losing your student's spot for Summer Discovery TigerTALES. As a reminder, confirmation of enrollment will be emailed to you directly from tigertales@willardschools.net.
