Care to Learn-Willard

The Care to Learn Willard Chapter began in 2012 and provides Willard students with emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs. This can range from a toothbrush to a weekend backpack of food. Our Care to Learn chapter has helped Willard students more than 50,000 times to meet those needs.

Each time Willard Care to Learn helps a student, it's called an impression. These impressions could include: toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, socks, underwear, a backpack, weekend backpack food, laundry detergent, etc.

  • 2012-13: 1,567 impressions

Willard School social workers, Merikate Alexander and Erica Russell, help to facilitate the services for our Willard Schools families. Partnering with community members, local churches, in addition to fundraisers like the Willard Turkey trot, the Willard Care to Learn chapter helps support hundreds of Willard families each year.
