• Elementary Principal Qualifications:

    • Education level: Master’s Degree from an approved institution with a major in educational administration or the accepted equivalent is required. A Specialist Degree from an approved institution with a major in educational administration or the accepted equivalent is preferred.
    • Certification or Licensure: Appropriate Missouri Administrative Certificate.
    • Experience desired: Three years of successful teaching experience; five years of successful leadership experience with increasing levels of building-level administrative experience preferred.
    • Other requirements: Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education. Experience, maturity and leadership abilities in appropriate facets of school administration.  Sensitivity to the needs and objectives of the student, school and district; the ability to supervise, evaluate, and manage the work of others; leadership skills in the area of curriculum development, management, and evaluation.
