There is cool air running through many classrooms of the Willard Intermediate School! The old systems have been completely removed and nearly all of the new units are installed and many up and running. As work progresses from the Intermediate School down through Willard North, the crews are close to completion of the Intermediate space, focusing their efforts of wrapping up Willard North. By the end of this venture, each classroom will have their own temperature control to make sure the environment is not distracting from student learning. This project was a huge undertaking in this amount of time and we are doing our best to be ready for students August 17th!
As we are beginning to approach the end of the school year, MSI Constructors are running a bit ahead of schedule in the Willard North and Intermediate School heat and air project. Working evenings, weekends, and over spring break, a lot of prep work was completed. Thank you to MSI for keeping up a great work pace and ensuring a clean and safe space for our students while you work. The bulk of the work is still scheduled to begin the May 22nd, the first day of summer break!
Things are going smoothly at Willard North and Willard Intermediate School with prep work happening after school hours, on weekends, and during school holidays. Contractors are getting as much preperation done as possible before the official start of this project-day 1 of summer break! We look forward to hit the ground running in May. Stay tuned!
At the Willard R-II School District, student safety is paramount. Reports of bullying are, and have always been, taken seriously and investigated. If you have knowledge of a bullying situation you are encouraged to promptly report such incident to a school employee, including specifically the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
