HOMECOMING PARADE 2018
Friday, September 21st will be a special day as each Willard Tiger will participate in the first ever District-wide Homecoming Parade! All students from across the District will line the streets of Willard and cheer on their fellow Tigers at 10:00am. Students from Central, South, and Orchard Hills will be bussed to Willard to participate while our North, Intermediate, Middle, and High school students will walk to the parade route. Click on the following link to access the parade route.
While thousands of students will be watching, hundreds of our students will be participating in the parade with representation from each school. Our community is invited to join us for the parade viewing from East Center, across from WMS! Did you know that this will be the only time this school year that our entire District will be in the same place, at the same time? In an effort to unite our District in celebration and school pride, you will see many High School students around the District during Homecoming week. All our Tigers are also encouraged to participate in district-wide spirit days, all week long.
We have Willard Tiger Homecoming T-Shirts available for the whole family! They are $10 and you can find the by clicking on the following link. These are available now, through September 12.
We’re excited for this opportunity to foster Willard Tiger Pride in every student. To ensure student safety, parents/guardians may only check out their child at their school building office before or after the parade. All students that go to the parade will also return back to school from the parade. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s building.
As a reminder, September 21st is a half day for students. North students will be released at 12:30! We invite you to join us in the rest of the Homecoming festivities at Tiger Stadium in the evening beginning at 6:30pm with kick off at 7:00pm!
FALL PICTURE DAY
Fall Pictures will be held on Thursday, September 20th. These pictures will be of both individual students, and class. More information about this event will be sent home with your child as the date approaches.
New Shorter Student Email Addresses Beginning July 11
Student email addresses will be changing effective on or about July 11. We are dropping "media" from the address so if your address is email@example.com, it will be simply firstname.lastname@example.org. Passwords will not change.
You will still receive messages sent to your old address as well as all messages sent to the new address. After the change is made, you will be required to login using the new email. If you check your mail on the 11th and are unable to login, try using the new email as your login. If you have questions, you may call Jolene Welsh at the High School at 742-3524.
