From Administration

  • Willard Tribal W It is not "Politically Correct" to brag on public school administrators however, I have never been good at politics and my "correctness" seems to be diminishing since I have announced retirement!  LOL.  Willard administrators are truly outstanding!  This group of hard working professionals are continually working to meet the needs of children and staff.  They work long, long, hours, and are presented daily with emotional problems that demand resolution.  They are required to do so much more than simply ensure student learning.  The culture of Willard has been a shared leadership model for years.  Major district decisions are discussed and debated at the A-Team round table hosting 20+ administrators at any given meeting.

After Christmas, we began a book study called the Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni.  It requires a common mindset, drive, and goal set to cultivate an effective student experience for 4500 students, 600+ employees, 9 independent buildings, and multiple service departments.  Willard administrators are dedicated to continual improvement of that experience.  We study together, share together, and learn together.  If you are a leader, I highly recommend the book!

Thanks to all my leadership team for what they do every day!

    Have a good weekend,

    Dr. Medlin
