Last weekend the speech and debate team competed at El Dorado High school and had some great success! Going to semi-finals were: Carson Kroenke in IX, Brodee Turnbaugh in HI, Mallary Ackerman/Xaviera in Duo, Tyler Simpson, Cole Baker, Emily Raney, and Brooke Stewart in Prose , Avery Lingenfelser, and Tory Butler in Poetry, Emily Raney and Bailey Hays in Story Telling, and Emily Raney/Bailey Hays, and Troy Butler/Haley Wingender in Improv Duet. Placing in Finals: Hayden Windmiller 5th and Evan Kirksey 3rd in Oratory, Brooke Parton 5th, Tyler Simpson 3rd, and Evan Gambriel 1st in Humorous Interp., Katelyn Graham/Evan Kirksey 5th, Madi Jones/Ethan Gambriel 4th, and Joe Amundson/Cole Baker 2nd in Duet, Brodee Turnbaugh 2nd in Prose, and Cole Baker 2nd in Radio. In debate Cole Baker placed 3rd and Emily Raney placed 1st in Lincoln-Douglas! Out of 21 schools Willard p[laced 2nd in Sweepstakes!
Students who are not currently enrolled in choir but are interested in being in choir next school year need to stop by the choir room after school this week and see Mr. Scott for a short audition.
The annual night of speech and debate is this thursday at 6:30 pm come watch performances eat food and find out about what speech and debate students really do!
The final day to order your yearbook for only $55 and to add personalization is this Friday, Feb. 12. After Feb. 12, books will cost $60 and you will not be able to add personalization. The last day to pre-order your yearbook is March 2. Order online or see Mrs. Ludlow in room 208 for an order form.
The Willard Paws club will be selling stuffed animals for Valentine's Day during lunch all week. Buy one for someone special along with a message and if you order it by Thursday, February 11th, we will hand deliver it to them on Friday, February 12th during the school day. You can always just pick one up for yourself, too. We will also be selling dog toys, so you can help pamper your pet this Valentine's Day! Courtwarming ticket sales are this week and will end (the date of the dance) February 19th. Courtwarming this year is Ladies Pay All, so girls, don't be afraid to ask your guys! Ticket prices will be $7 dollars during lunch and $10 dollars at the door. Your ticket will pay for a catered meal from Ott's Pasta and dress is semi-formal. We hope to see you there!!

Interested in joining color guard this fall? Clinics and Audition for the 2016 Cutting Edge Color Guard are coming up soon! Clinics will be held February 16th, 17th, 18th in the High School Mezzanine from 6:30 am to 7:15. Audition will be February 19th from 6:30 to 7:15 am in the Mezzanine as well.
