Former Willard North Elementary Tiger, BJ Flores, returned to talk to students in the same cafeteria that he once ate lunch in everyday. Currently the 4th ranked contender in his division, Flores spoke to the kids about the importance of, not only dreaming, but putting action and hard work behind those actions in order make those dreams a reality. After the appearance, Flores was off to commentate an NBC nationally televised fight, which he does frequently on NBC and ESPN. Willard North thanks BJ for taking the time to inspire and encourage our students!

  • Mrs. Hambey's Hub

Willard North held our 3nd Annual Family Reading Night on Monday. It was a great night of celebrating our school wide book "The Million Dollar Shot," by Dan Gutman. Students were able to choose from different activities that were focused on different parts of the book. Some of the favorite activities were the basketball shoot out, basketball obstacle course and the station where they were able to create their very own champion medals. The students who came to reading night and participated in the activities were entered into a drawing for an Amazon Fire. We were able to give away two of them. Congratulations to Wesley Jones and Devin Steeley! Thank you to all the families who came out to share in the love of reading with us! Looking Ahead... No School-Monday, January 18 Have a wonderful weekend! Amanda Hambey Principal
